Clark adopts no-parking zone near St. Agnes to improve sightlines on Madison Hill Road

The Township of Clark Council on June 1 adopted Ordinance 2618, prohibiting parking on portions of Madison Hill Road adjacent to the St. Agnes Church exit to improve sightlines and reduce crash risk.
Mayor Albanese told the council the ordinance, introduced previously, designates 25-foot no-parking zones on the east and west sides of the church exit for safety. "This ordinance will go into effect upon adoption and publication," he said.
The council opened a public hearing on the ordinance and invited comments specifically on the measure; no objections were raised. Council Member Tol moved to close the hearing and to adopt the ordinance; Council Member Okconor seconded. A roll-call vote recorded unanimous approval: Council member Hoff — yes; Council member Hund — yes; Council member Maniti — yes; Council member Okconor — yes; Council member Tol — yes; Council President Smith — yes.
The council did not attach additional conditions to the ordinance. The measure will take effect following the required publication steps.
No members of the public provided testimony opposing the change during the hearing, and council leaders framed the move as a safety improvement for drivers and pedestrians exiting the church driveway.
