Authority staff reported on operations and inspections at the March 9 meeting, including a 27% failure rate in the 2026 sewer-lateral inspection program and two routine repairs.
Engineer Fred Ebert told the board that 22 laterals have been inspected so far this year and six failed inspection, a 27% failure rate. Joseph Groff said he is completing the final inspection for 1108 Bleim Road and the Authority can begin billing that property for one equivalent dwelling unit (EDU). Mr. Wagner said the plumber apologized and the visitors' comment from last month was resolved.
Sewer Operator Tim Watson reported two operational repairs: at the Sanatoga Pump Station the diesel-pump transducer failed and was replaced, with the old transducer sent out for rebuilding to be kept as a spare; Watson said the pump ran for less than an hour. Separately, crews excavated and replaced the sewer lateral in the right-of-way at 891 Brookside Road with assistance from Steve's Bobcat Service after a RootX attempt failed.
The meeting record shows these were operational updates only; no policy changes or additional funding approvals were made specific to the inspection program during the March 9 meeting.
