Findlay Township Zoning Hearing Board elects officers, appoints counsel and sets 2026 schedule

The Findlay Township Zoning Hearing Board held a re-organization meeting on Jan. 21, 2026, in the Clinton Meeting Room at the Findlay Township Municipal Building. Ms. Amy Kovac, identified at the start of the meeting as ZHB Vice-Chair, called the session to order at 7:05 p.m.
Assistant Township Manager and Planning Administrator Brandon J. Stanick reported that Tony Patterson declined to renew his term and that Celeste Rosen had been appointed by the Board of Supervisors as a full member with a term expiring Dec. 31, 2028. After the roll call established a quorum, members conducted several routine organizational votes.
Celeste Rosen moved to nominate Amy Kovac as chairperson for 2026; the motion was seconded and approved on a unanimous voice vote. Kovac then moved to nominate Rosen as vice-chairperson for 2026; that motion was seconded by Rosen and passed unanimously. Kovac moved to nominate Laura Savage, the Planning/Zoning Secretary, as board secretary for 2026; the motion was seconded by Rosen and approved by unanimous voice vote.
The board voted unanimously to appoint all Zoning Hearing Board members as hearing officers for 2026 and to set its regular meeting date and time as the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. for the year. The board also authorized hiring Russ Lucas of Andrews & Price as legal counsel for 2026 and accepted the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and the Tribune-Review as the official newspapers for ZHB notifications; both motions passed on unanimous voice votes.
Chair Kovac moved to adjourn at 7:10 p.m.; the motion was seconded by Rosen and carried by unanimous voice vote.
