Potter County awards $10,000 to regional fire companies for new burn/training building

Commissioners noted the facility will be open to all local fire companies and is intended to provide a centralized location for critical firefighter training. The board’s $10,000 award is a contribution toward the purchase; the companies reported additional donations from surrounding counties and local fire departments and said they are meeting their fundraising goal.
Commissioner Rossman moved to approve the Act 11 funds check and the motion passed with the three commissioners voting yes.
