Fountain Memorial nominations open through Feb. 27; staff encouraging community submissions

Marta told the board that the Fountain Memorial nomination period opened Monday and will close Friday, Feb. 27 at 5 p.m. Nominations may be submitted via email to the city clerk, in person at city hall, or online through the city website; staff has promoted the call through the historical society, the library, a Fife High School alumni group and in the city newsletter.
Marta said staff had contacted the previous year's nominator (Rudolph King’s nominator) to encourage resubmission and that several staff members had identified other community members who might be good candidates. She asked board members to share social links when staff circulates them to help broaden outreach.
No nominations had been received at the time of the meeting; staff asked board members to help publicize the call and promised to share application links via email once available.
