Chair John Ashlock opened the meeting and asked members whether they had reviewed the minutes from Nov. 10; a member moved to approve the minutes, a second was added, and the commission voted in favor. No named roll-call vote totals were provided on the record.
Ashlock, who identified himself at the meeting as the commission’s current chair, said he would like to pass the chair role for the coming year. A commissioner volunteered to serve as chair and the commission approved that nomination. Later, commissioners nominated and approved Ashlock as vice chair for 2026 after he agreed to serve in that role.
No formal policy or code changes were taken at the meeting. The leadership changes establish who will preside over the commission’s calendar in the year when staff expect to bring several code amendments and historic-preservation items back for review.
The commission confirmed its next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 28, 2026, and adjourned after noting one remote listener was present.
