Interim Chairman Orrin MacMurray called the May 15 meeting to order and welcomed newly appointed Planning Board member Tammy Crawford.
Secretary Kathy Pavelock noted correspondence that Tammy Crawford and Miranda Ward had been appointed by the Town Council to fill vacancies and read a resignation letter from longtime member Mike Piper. Tammy Crawford made a resolution of appreciation for Piper’s service; Bill Shaughnessy seconded and the board adopted the resolution by poll vote with the four members present voting Aye.
The board briefly discussed proposed zoning-law edits, including the current frontage requirement and lighting standards; Martha Link said she will provide a template for updating lighting rules and Interim Chair Mac said he has updated proposed sign regulations to reflect lighting and size concerns. The board agreed to hold a special public meeting on May 28, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. to continue zoning-law discussions. Interim Chair Mac said he will be unable to attend the June meeting and Bill Shaughnessy will act as chair in his absence.
The regular next meeting was set for June 19, 2025; new agenda items are due to the secretary by June 12, 2025. The meeting adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
