Dickinson Township’s Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the Bosniaks Islamic Cultural Center’s final land development plan at its March 18 meeting, granting two waivers from the Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance (SALDO) that allowed the project to proceed with staff‑recommended conditions.
Applicant Michael (Mike) Wadel presented the plan, which includes a building addition to the existing cultural center, expanded parking and revised on‑site stormwater management. The board granted a waiver from SALDO §178‑55 (carbonate assessment requirement) and from SALDO §178‑40 (sidewalks along street frontages in the Mixed‑Use zone), and approved the final plan to include the staff comments listed in a March 14, 2024 memorandum prepared by Zoning/Codes Enforcement Officer Brandon Brookens.
Vice Chairman Robert Line and Supervisor Jen DeGaetano moved and seconded the waiver and approval motions; both actions passed unanimously. The approvals were conditional on addressing the staff comments referenced in the March 14 memorandum before final plan recordation and implementation.
Next steps: the applicant will complete any outstanding items required by staff comments and move to record the final plan consistent with the conditions set by the township.
