Dickinson Township supervisors approve agenda, minutes and bills; table decision on posting meeting recordings

Dickinson Township Board of Supervisors met April 1, 2024, at township headquarters in Mount Holly Springs and unanimously approved the meeting agenda, the March 18, 2024 minutes as amended, and payment of bills for April 1.
Supervisor Jen DeGaetano moved to approve both the agenda and the amended minutes; Vice Chairman Robert Line seconded and the motions carried without opposition. The consent agenda to pay bills likewise passed unanimously.
The Board also debated whether to post audio recordings of meetings online. Solicitor Matt Boyer told supervisors the recordings are a tool to prepare minutes and recommended they not be posted, saying once minutes are prepared and approved the recordings can be destroyed. Vice Chairman Line argued posting recordings helps transparency and builds resident trust. Resident Marty Williams told the Board she listens to posted recordings to “get a better picture of what is going on.” After discussion, the Board voted to table the decision to allow more time for review.
Chairman Rob Kole reported the Board met in executive session on March 26 to discuss personnel matters. The meeting concluded with direction to staff on several follow-ups and the Board adjourned at 7:18 p.m.
