Historical society outlines Harford County 250th events and Juneteenth program

Christine Potts of the Harford County Historical Society told the Joppa/Edgewood Community Advisory Board on June 1 about the society's activities for Harford County's 250th anniversary.
Potts said the society has opened a Joppa exhibit and that the "Hello Harford County" site and a newly launched county 250 trails app list celebrations and parades, including June 13 county events and July 4 parades in Bel Air and Darlington with 250th themes. She said the society will post a documentary about Harford's history on local TV and that all artifacts and displays are donated and curated by volunteers. The society highlighted a Juneteenth Freedom Weekend at the historic Hosanna School Museum in Darlington scheduled for June 12–14.
Potts asked that local events be included on the county 250 website and, where appropriate, on the state's 250 portal. She encouraged volunteer participation and public submissions to support exhibits and programming. The society's website is https://www.harfordhistory.org.
The board noted several community 250 events and that Harford Square will host a free celebration; the next CAB meeting is scheduled for the second Monday in September.
