Corey Auger, County Fire Warden, presented the Cooperative Wildfire System agreement to the Ballard City Council on May 19 and described its purpose, provisions for participation, accounting and firefighting responsibilities.
Council Member Ben Allred moved to accept the agreement, Council Member Alfred Kettle seconded, and the council voted unanimously to approve the five-year renewal.
Auger said the agreement is renewed every five years; the council did not request amendments at the May 19 meeting.
