Bolton ZBA elects William Pike chair, approves FY 2026–27 budget and meeting schedule

Bolton — The Bolton Zoning Board of Appeals at its regular Dec. 9, 2025 meeting elected new officers and approved routine business.
Joshua Machnik nominated William Pike to serve as Chairman; Pike accepted and the Board voted unanimously to appoint him. Machnik then nominated himself for Vice‑Chairman; the Board also voted unanimously to appoint him to that post. The Board did not record vote tallies for the officer appointments beyond unanimous approval.
The Board approved the April 8, 2025 meeting minutes on a motion by J. Machnik with a second by J. Treat; the motion carried 5:0:0. The Board reviewed the FY 2026–27 budget, determined no increase was necessary, and approved the budget on a motion by W. Pike with a second by J. Treat; the motion carried 5:0:0.
Members set the Board’s 2026 regular meeting dates for Mondays at 7:00 p.m. (Jan. 12; Feb. 9; Mar. 9; Apr. 13; May 11; June 8; July 13; Aug. 10; Sept. 14; Oct. 12; Nov. 9; Dec. 14) due to Town Hall unavailability on Tuesdays. The meeting was adjourned at 7:39 p.m. on a motion by J. Machnik, seconded by J. Treat; that motion carried 5:0:0.
Chairman Pike welcomed new Board members and encouraged alternates to attend meetings to become oriented. Board Secretary Kacie Cannon submitted the minutes.
