Consent agenda: The Board unanimously approved the consent agenda, which included approval of a second request for a waste-hauler non-exclusive franchise agreement and approval of a NetApp Pure upgrade with additional hard drives. The consent agenda also included a request from the Sheriff’s Office to apply for a 50% matching grant to replace 20 tactical vests for the S.W.A.T. team; if awarded, the county’s share would be $37,476.31 (half of the full grant amount).
911 equipment and Budget Amendment #10: Communications Director Nick Brown said 911 phone-system equipment totaling $74,047.21 was ordered during the FY 2024 budget cycle but not billed because construction delays at the new communications facility delayed invoicing. The Board unanimously approved the $74,047.21 expenditure and adopted Budget Amendment #10 to record the change.
Budget Amendment #9: The Board also approved Budget Amendment #9 earlier in the meeting, which recorded JAG grant revenue of $49,990 for the Sheriff’s Office and appropriated architect fees for three school renovation projects (each school receiving $131,000 for architect fees) with transfers from General Fund Capital Improvement totaling $393,000.
