Lake Saint Louis aldermen approve 39-unit Greendale Senior Village; one abstention

The Board of Aldermen of the City of Lake Saint Louis approved a major site plan for Greendale Senior Village, a two‑story, 39‑unit senior living development at 2920 Technology Drive, on May 18, adopting Ordinance No. 4883 following second reading.

Bob Ring of Ring Property Company LLC presented the application during a publicly advertised hearing and answered questions from aldermen about the site’s location and orientation. Alderman Bill Behr and Alderman Chris Hinkle pressed for clarification about where the building would sit on the parcel; Mr. Ring and his team used a plat map display board to identify the site layout.

Alderman Angela Bilkey asked whether the proposal included walking paths, other resident amenities and a nurse’s office. Mr. Ring said walking paths and amenities were part of the plan but that the development would not include a nurse’s office, noting that such a feature is more common in assisted‑living facilities and this project is not an assisted‑living facility.

On a motion to approve the second reading and adopt Bill No. 5114 as Ordinance No. 4883, Alderman Jacalyn Schauer moved and Alderman Justin Hensley seconded. The board recorded ayes from Hensley, Hinkle, Behr, Bilkey and Coyne; there were no nays and Alderman Schauer abstained. The motion passed and the ordinance was assigned number 4883.
