The chair said an email from Todd reported that a contractor found a section of Industrial Boulevard that had sunk more than expected after a sewer line installation years earlier. The chair said the issue appears to be poor compaction around the line rather than an active leak and that additional compaction and repair will be required before paving.
The chair requested approval to add roughly $30,000 for repairs (the board had previously voted on $50,000 last month). A board member questioned whether the sewer line itself would be fixed; the chair said the problem appears to be compaction and that the work should be completed before paving next year. The board moved to put the project out to bid and approved the motion by voice vote.
