The Town of Bernalillo governing body on Feb. 10 voted unanimously to hire Sean Rodriquez as a police officer and to approve the accounts-payable voucher list totaling $635,427.91.
Human Resources Director Maria Santillan told the council the hiring committee recommended Rodriquez for the police officer position. Councilor Torres-Quintana moved to approve the hiring; Councilor Prairie seconded and the motion passed on a roll-call vote with all councilors voting "Yea."
Later in the meeting Mayor Torres asked the council to approve the accounts-payable list for Feb. 10 in the amount of $635,427.91. Councilor Torres-Quintana moved to approve the voucher list; Councilor Montoya seconded and the council again voted unanimously to approve the payment list.
Both items were routine motions carried by roll-call votes; the meeting minutes record no amendments, conditions or dissenting comments. The approvals complete personnel action and financial disbursement authority for those items; the minutes do not include further details about how the approved payments are allocated across departments or vendors.
