Chair Tom Manning and members discussed multiple approaches to speed management. Anthony Guerriero and John Scenna said they want to review locations currently defined as thickly settled zones and prepare recommendations. Manning proposed rescinding special speed signs approved by Mass Highway to align signs and legal speeds; Scenna said he would confer with legal counsel and consult with Nick Sacatore.
The committee recorded a vote to send speed-related signage recommendations to the Select Board for action. Separately, Robert Dolan moved and the committee agreed to table the larger speed-zoning item until the next meeting to allow additional review and coordination with legal counsel and staff.
No roll-call vote tally was recorded in the meeting minutes. Committee members said installation of signage and any speed‑limit changes depends on funding, legal review and Select Board action.
