Library director asks committee to limit Arlington Street parking; committee forwards request to Select Board

Library Director Abby Porter asked the Lynnfield Traffic Safety Advisory Committee on May 8 to restrict parking on Arlington Street to a single side to improve safety and access.
Nick Sacatore said he had no objection and John Scenna explained how existing signs would be removed. Robert Dolan moved to forward the parking request to the Select Board for final approval; the committee voted to do so.
The referral means the Select Board will review and decide whether to adopt the restriction and, if approved, town staff will handle sign changes and enforcement. Committee members did not set a timetable at the meeting.
The committee postponed submission of its TASC report to the Select Board until the next meeting to allow additional review of committee comments.
