Mendham Township Planning Board elects Sante D’Emidio chair, names Arjan Roghanchi vice chair and confirms 2026 professionals

Sante D’Emidio was elected chairman of the Mendham Township Planning Board during the board’s Jan. 5, 2026 reorganization meeting, and was administered the oath of office by the board’s attorney, Andrew M. Brewer, Esq.
The board elected Arjan Roghanchi as vice chairman after nominations from board members and recorded roll-call votes; the recorded tally for the chair election was seven ayes and zero nays, and the vice chair vote recorded six ayes with one abstention.
Chairman D’Emidio appointed Beth Foley as the Planning Board secretary for 2026. The board also confirmed its slate of professional consultants for the year: Maraziti Falcon, LLP continuing as board attorney (Andrew M. Brewer), French & Parrello Associates as engineer (Denis Keenan), Princeton Hydro as environmental consultant (Sean Walsh) and H2M Associates, Inc. as planner (San Chavan). Those appointments were approved by unanimous consent.
The board approved Resolution PB-26-01, setting the regular meeting schedule for 2026 and January–February 2027, and Resolution PB-26-02, designating newspapers for legal notices and fixing charges for meeting notices. Both resolutions were adopted by the board without recorded opposition.
The reorganization meeting also included standard procedural items: roll call, notice of meeting publication (the meeting minutes note notice was sent to local newspapers and filed with the township clerk as recorded in the agenda packet), and the establishment of standing committees including the Technical Review Committee and the Master Plan & COAH Committee. Chairman D’Emidio indicated he would appoint Omie Medford Ryan to the Technical Review Committee.
The meeting was called to order at 8:37 p.m. and adjourned at 8:50 p.m.
