Seward County board accepts law firm's recommendation to terminate Public Transit director

The Seward County Board of Commissioners on May 26, 2026 voted unanimously to accept a recommendation from Woods Aitken Law Firm to terminate Public Transit Director Brandy Hafer, following presentation of an outside investigation.

Chairperson Misty Ahmic said after the executive session that "personnel was discussed, and no decisions were made" during that closed portion of the meeting, and the board later acted in open session to accept the law firm's recommendation.
