Nick Tambariantos, planner for economic development, told the task force the historic‑neighborhood permitting and design studio had received four new requests since the Aug. 5 meeting, covering heirs‑property issues, density and zoning guidance, conceptual site planning and manufactured‑home placement.
"Following our meeting on August 5, we have received a total of 4 new requests for the historic neighborhood permitting and design studio," Tambariantos said.
On the town's home safety and repair program, Tambariantos said three new applications were filed and nine projects were completed since the previous report; he reported a 625% increase in projects under contract, rising from 4 to 29.
The lateral sewer‑connection program remains active: Tambariantos said the town has 45 received applications and that several pending projects are awaiting additional program funds. During the meeting a member asked whether staff had an exact funding shortfall; Tambariantos said staff were searching for additional funding and referenced roughly $82,000 as a figure under discussion for pending projects.
Tambariantos offered to follow up with more details and with contact information for families receiving heirs‑property assistance. The task force welcomed the updates and praised staff for outreach and completion of repairs and safety projects.
