The Leacock Township Municipal Authority on Jan. 8 unanimously adopted its 2026 sewer and water budgets, authorized purchase of a generator for the Bird‑In‑Hand pump station and approved routine bills and treasurer reports.
Mike Burnley moved to adopt the 2026 sewer budget and the 2026 water budget; Willis Zimmerman seconded both motions and each passed by unanimous vote. The board also voted to purchase a generator for the Bird‑In‑Hand pump station on a motion by Mr. Burnley, seconded by Mr. Zimmerman.
Bruce Ammon, the authority’s sewer operator, reported routine plant work: the #2 pump on Westview Drive was pulled after becoming jammed, Nolt’s hauled 130,000 gallons of sludge, and the plant was operating well. Mr. Houser presented the water plant report; both reports were approved by the board. The authority reviewed fund balances and certificates of deposit and approved the sewer and water bills‑to‑pay lists and treasurers’ reports.
All motions recorded in the minutes were approved unanimously. The meeting was called to order by Frank Howe at 4:30 P.M. and adjourned at 5:05 P.M.
