The Amityville Planning Board voted unanimously Jan. 8 to grant a six‑month extension for a previously approved one‑family dwelling at 35 Shore Road, SCTM #101‑13‑1‑10.1.
The board considered a written request explaining that a decision filed July 11, 2025, included a clause stating the approval would expire if construction did not begin within six months. Board members were told further steps in the approval process had delayed the start of work and the applicant asked for more time to begin construction.
A board member moved to grant the extension and Member Amanda Lowe seconded. The motion carried 5–0.
The board did not attach additional conditions in the public record; the extension preserves the earlier approval’s stipulations and requires the applicant to follow all Village, State and County codes and obtain any building permits required before construction begins.
