Windham selectmen set liaison roles, emphasize posting meeting materials and celebrate Town Meeting outcomes

At its March 16 meeting the Windham Board of Selectmen elected Ross McLeod as chair and Heath Partington as vice chair following nominations and recorded votes. The board also appointed Vice Chair Partington as the Planning Board ex-officio and Mr. Roger Hohenberger as the alternate ex-officio; both motions passed 5-0.
Town Administrator Michael Branley asked members to review last year's liaison assignments and submit updates ahead of the next meeting. The board discussed where to post meeting materials on the refreshed town website to improve public access; members of the public urged posting draft minutes and adding hyperlinks so residents can access documents in advance.
Mr. Branley also reviewed Town Meeting outcomes and thanked the board for work on the warrant articles; he reported that voters approved the budget and that the Deputy Tax Collector position will transition to full-time status in April. Ms. Stith said voter outreach materials such as a "cheat sheet" appeared to help explain articles to voters.
The board approved the consent agenda and later entered and returned from a nonpublic session for personnel matters; in nonpublic session the board authorized conditional offers for a dispatcher candidate (Michael Notini) and an Environmental Planner / Deputy Health Officer (Meaghan O'Dwyer). The meeting adjourned at 9:05 p.m.
