Paradise sewer board pauses response to York Water Company letter of intent

Solicitor Susan P. Peipher briefed the Paradise Township Sewer Authority on a prior presentation from York Water Company and presented a draft letter of intent for the board’s consideration.
Board members indicated potential interest in exploring other potential bidders to purchase the Authority’s assets, but they agreed to put further discussions and action on hold for three months while the Authority remains in its trial period with PreDoc. Kaitlyn Jones moved to table further discussion and action on the proposed letter of intent; J.B. Stoltzfus seconded and the motion was approved unanimously.
Township representatives present said that if the Authority wants input from the Board of Supervisors it should make a presentation to that body. Susan P. Peipher said she will follow up with absent board member Brian Groff to determine an appropriate response to York Water Company and next steps for any outreach to potential bidders.
