North Berwick OKs warrant, schedules "No Thru Trucks" hearing and enters executive session

At its Dec. 30 meeting, the North Berwick Select Board approved several routine actions and set a public hearing on a traffic sign request.
The board accepted the Jan. 6, 2026 warrant in the amount of $132,007.49. Selectperson Jonathan Hall moved to accept the warrant and Selectperson Charles Galemmo seconded; the board approved the motion 5-0. The Jan. 13 warrant was recorded at $0.00.
Dwayne Morin reported audit results and building issues: the town had a favorable audit year and “our undesignated grew by $500,000.00 this year,” he said. He also reported a furnace issue to be repaired the following day and that one of the town’s one-ton plow trucks had been in a plowing accident; repair estimates will go through insurance (deductible $1,000).
On traffic control, Selectperson Charles Galemmo moved to hold a public hearing to post a “No Thru Trucks” sign at the lower end of Oakwoods Road at the Select Board meeting on Feb. 9, 2026; Selectperson Jonathan Hall seconded. The board approved the motion 5-0.
Finally, the board voted 5-0 to enter executive session at 7:02 p.m. for approximately 30 minutes and to adjourn at 7:32 p.m. The meeting record was signed by Chairperson Wendy Cowan and the selectpersons.
