At its planning session the Rhinebeck Board of Education approved a lengthy consent agenda and several resolutions that advance district operations ahead of the May budget vote.
Board president Trustee Golly read the consent agenda, which included approval of minutes from previous meetings, personnel appointments and leaves, participation in joint BOCES bidding, contract awards for e‑rate services, CSE recommendations and monthly financial reports. A motion to approve the consent agenda was made and adopted by voice vote.
The board accepted two named scholarship donations: the Sgt. Andrew P. Smith Memorial Scholarship and the Mark Dimaggio Performing Arts Scholarship to be awarded beginning in the 2024–25 school year, and separately approved a $2,785 donation for the Rhinebeck theater program.
The board recognized the Rhinebeck Administrators Association as the exclusive bargaining representative for a bargaining unit of administrators effective March 19, 2025. The resolution notes the association filed a showing of interest and that the district clerk will post and publish the resolution as required.
The board also ratified a memorandum of agreement with the Rhinebeck Teachers Association covering July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2029. The administration presented the agreement for ratification and the board approved it by roll call/voice as recorded in the meeting.
Other procedural items approved included the revised 2025–26 budget development calendar, authorization to participate in joint bidding agreements, contract awards for IT management and for county voting machines, and updates to the impartial hearing officer list. The board announced first readings of several policy updates and said they will be posted on the district website for 30 days.
The meeting adjourned after the business was completed.
