The Village of Montebello Board of Trustees approved midyear budget adjustments, several claims and appointment resolutions at its Oct. 22 meeting.
Acting on a midyear report from financial consultant Donalee Berard, the trustees approved Resolution No. 25-121 to increase both total income and total expense for 2025 by $236,734. The Board also approved abstracts and schedules of claims including a general claims abstract totaling $171,699.79, professional-fee claims totaling $18,260.10 and an LOC draw fund claim of $3,247.50.
The Board approved personnel and appointment resolutions. By Resolution No. 25-126 the Mayor was authorized to hire Marie Munoz as a part-time Clerk-Typist at $25.00 per hour for up to 17.5 hours per week, with a three-month probationary period and an appointment term to expire at the April 2026 reorganizational meeting. The Board appointed Rebecca Humphrey as an ad‑hoc member to the Planning Board (Res. 25-127); Trustee Michael Humphrey abstained on that vote and the motion carried 3-1. The Board also appointed Carrine Kaufer as an ad‑hoc member to the Zoning Board of Appeals (Res. 25-128).
The trustees adopted an updated Fee Schedule (Res. 25-129) including an increase in the Road Opening fee from $250 to $300. Several routine minutes and claims approvals were also adopted by unanimous vote.
Motion makers were frequently Deputy Mayor Stacy Caridi and Trustee Bruce Egenhauser; most votes were unanimous except where noted for abstention. The Board then entered executive session to discuss legal matters and adjourned at approximately 10:15 p.m.
