The Architectural Review Board unanimously approved revised plans for a new single‑family house at 23‑237 West Main Street on April 23 after the applicant supplied elevation drawings, material samples and color choices.
Applicant Peter DeSisto confirmed the house will face Caren Court (east), use stained cedar siding, have vinyl shutters and a Hamilton Blue front door. The board asked for two additional windows on the north elevation to improve cross ventilation; DeSisto agreed and the plans were amended accordingly.
DeSisto said deck surfaces will be pressure‑treated cedar, garage doors will have 5/4" by 6" framing, walk runs will be flagstone treads with stone risers and the foundation will be poured concrete with a natural‑colored stucco finish. The board noted the shutters on an example house in Pleasantville were white and suggested a darker color; DeSisto said the shutters are vinyl and he could lengthen them to be full shutters.
Motion and outcome: Steve Marrano moved to accept the proposal as amended; Harjit Jassal seconded. The Board voted all ayes and approved the application as amended.
Next steps: Applicant will update the drawings to show the additional windows and proceed with any required building‑department permits.
