Blair Township’s Board of Supervisors approved the township’s 2026 estimated budget and a suite of routine disbursements at its Dec. 9 meeting.
The board voted unanimously to adopt the 2026 budget after small line-item adjustments. Secretary/Treasurer Kami Bilek told the board the budget had been advertised for inspection with no outside requests; adjustments included shifting $250 into the supervisors’ training line to allow a newly elected supervisor to attend an early-year workshop and adding $6,492 to building code inspections to cover overages from 2024–25. The budget lists General Fund estimated expenditures of $1,681,619 and an estimated ending balance of $440,358.
The board also approved November payroll and disbursements (payroll $34,348.31; General Fund disbursements and payroll liabilities $91,929.05), the Treasury balances, and the Specific Service Investment Account balance. The board approved the FNB Visa, Sam’s Club and Wex Bank Sunoco fleet card statements for November.
Supervisors approved annual community disbursements: $5,000 to each of the township’s four volunteer fire departments (total $20,000) and $2,391.50 to the Hollidaysburg Area Public Library, with members noting the library payment was in line with prior years. The board also voted to disburse $600 to the township tax collector to offset collection expenses.
The meeting record shows the motions passed unanimously on routine votes. The board adjourned to executive session later in the meeting and reconvened before adjourning for the night.
