Bolton fire chief reports 73 emergency calls, new recruits and community staffing

Chief Bruce Dixon told the Bolton Fire Commission on Sept. 18 that the department had answered 73 emergency calls since July 24, including responses to accidents and medical calls.
Dixon said the department voted in three new members during the last two months and that recruitment would continue for both medical and fire suppression roles. He also reported ongoing driver training and that several new drivers were being appointed to apparatus including ET334 and Rescue 134.
The department provided staffing for community events during the period, including the Ice Palace/Stanley Cup viewing, the Hebron Harvest Fair, the Lutz Museum/Fish Family Day and a Bolton High School race through fields and woods. Dixon and Captain Rexroad attended a Region 3 meeting at ASM in Manchester to coordinate regional response and training.
Routine procedural business was handled at the meeting, including approval of minutes and adjournment at 8:15 p.m. No public comment was recorded.
