Board gives conditional approval to farm-market stormwater plan on Mark Mills Road

Ted Gallagher, acting as chair and filling in for the absent chair, said the East Lampeter Township Board of Supervisors had before it a stormwater management plan for a proposed family farm market and called for discussion.
The property owner (presenter) described the project as “approximately 4,300 square feet” for the market with an attached greenhouse “of about 3,700 square feet,” and said the building would meet setback requirements from the road and adjacent properties. Staff noted engineering comments and a response letter dated April 13 that needed to be addressed.
A committee member moved that the board grant conditional approval of the stormwater management plan for 2110 Mark Mills Road “as recommended by David Miller Associates” and that the approval be conditioned on the April 13 engineering letter; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
The approval was described as conditional on resolving the items noted in the April 13 engineering correspondence; board members expressed support for moving the project toward construction. Ted Gallagher said he looked forward to seeing the project built.
