He urged the council to "show us the isolated virus" and to provide "local evidence."
The council did not engage in a scientific rebuttal during the public comment slot; the city administrator later described operational training, meter upgrades and event planning but did not address the specific FOIA claim in the public record.
A separate Ward 3 resident asked for clarification about warrant report line items, listing several vendor amounts and purchases (Crown Point lift‑station work, a $41,000 panel, a new pavilion for roughly $28,630, Jensen Hughes emergency‑response support for $28,263, and recent Midwest Meters purchases). The resident asked staff to provide details on those purchases at a later time.
