Board members discussed speedy-trial and court-processing implications of fines and said staff has drafted the revised ticket language to address those concerns. Trustees voted to schedule a public hearing for June 15 and asked the clerk to publish the proposed local law and obtain the necessary publication for the hearing notice.
The board emphasized the purpose is to improve turnover in timed spaces and support enforcement during large downtown events, not to raise general revenue.
