Town Manager Mr. McClung presented a preliminary outline of a five‑year plan to the Glenburn Town Council on March 12, identifying possible priorities including building maintenance, access control and security, computer and technology replacement, equipment replacement and repair for the Department of Public Works and cemetery needs. Mr. McClung said the council would receive the first pass of the budget at its March 26 meeting.
Separately, the council authorized a purchase of narcotics lock boxes for the fire department. Council member Mr. Day moved to spend $6,995 from capital account 49‑491‑09; Mr. Cookson seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The council recorded the budget preview as informational and scheduled March 26 for the initial budget pass; the lock‑box purchase was approved at the March 12 meeting.
