Washington County commissioners approve consent agenda, settlements and auditor warrants

The Washington County Board of Commissioners approved a series of consent-agenda items and motions on May 26, including IT conversion contracts, settlement payments related to right-of-way on Gentry Lane, and general warrants.
Motions by Jim Harberd and seconded by Gordon Wilkerson carried to approve Computer Arts/Harris Idaho Project Phase 1 (conversion and training) for $20,225 and Phase 2 for $4,800, and to approve the Treasurer’s Statement of Cash for April 2026 in the amount of $17,206,203.38. The Board also approved a Certificate of Residency for Brian Bottomley.
The Board approved demand warrants for right-of-way settlements on Gentry Lane to Terry and Mardean Chandler ($7,575), Carolyn Folke ($41,614), Karen Kniffen ($12,600), Tanya Moye ($14,918), and Elena Cardwell ($21,245). A demand warrant was approved to Ridley’s Family Market for $818.79 for Weed Department project supplies.
Auditor-authorized warrants for general expenses totaling $245,003.50 were approved by motion of Jim Harberd, seconded by Gordon Wilkerson. The Board also approved a county cell phone for Planning and Zoning Administrator Bridget Felmley and allowed Sergeant Scott Mosley to retain ownership of K9 Roky upon the dog’s retirement, as requested by Sheriff Matt Thomas.
The Board unanimously approved the canvass of votes for the May 19, 2026 Primary Election presented by Deputy Clerks Michelle Hagans and Stephanie Britton. The meeting recessed at 12:05 p.m. until June 1, 2026.
