Leisuretowne storm-drain concerns, winter road safety and Jan. 31 rabies clinic highlighted at Southampton meeting

Deputy Mayor Elizabeth Rossell advised residents on steps to avoid deer collisions and announced a free rabies clinic on Jan. 31 at Vincent Fire House from 10 a.m. to noon. Committeeman Arnold Harrison urged residents to be careful ahead of impending snow, and Mayor William Raftery complimented Public Works for salting roads over the prior weekend and announced he will hold resident office hours on Fridays from noon to 3 p.m. beginning in February.
No formal action was recorded on the Leisuretowne storm-drain issue; the Committee directed follow-up through the Administrator and a meeting between the Mayor and the Leisuretowne Board.
