After closed sessions Jasper County board approves settlement; discusses $465,000 Law Center renovation and railroad bridge grant

In the work session following the regular meeting, Maintenance Director Adam Sparks presented drawings and a BBS cost estimate of about $465,000 to renovate the task force room in the Law Center basement and to expand a garage door to potentially park an ambulance. The board discussed the option of shifting bonded funds from the training center project to the lower-level basement renovation. Separately, Mike Frietsch reviewed a grant application related to the T-38 railroad bridge; the transcript records the review but no formal action on the grant was recorded.
