Catskill board authorizes intermunicipal highway services agreement with Greene County
Summary

President Natasha Law and the Village Board unanimously authorized the village to pursue a shared-services agreement with Greene County to provide highway and public-works support.
The board adopted Resolution #13 of 2026 on April 22, authorizing the President to enter into an intermunicipal agreement under New York General Municipal Law §5-g that could cover road maintenance, snow and ice control, equipment sharing and personnel support. The resolution directs that the final agreement specify services, terms, compensation and provisions for liability, insurance and indemnification and be subject to review and approval by the Village Attorney.
Trustee Jamie Mitchell moved to approve the measure, President Law seconded, and the motion carried unanimously. The board's certified vote lists President Natasha Law, Vice President Peter Grasse and Trustee Jamie Mitchell as voting in favor; Trustee Thomas Boomhower was recorded absent. Village Clerk Anna Signoretti certified the resolution.
The board did not adopt a final contract at the meeting; the authorization allows village officials to execute whatever agreement the Village Attorney approves and that includes the details required by General Municipal Law §5-g. Next steps include drafting the intermunicipal agreement language and returning it to the board for any formal ratification as required by that approval process.
