Council grants Unitil petitions for two new distribution poles on Rollstone Road

President Anthony M. Zarrella opened public hearings May 19 on two petitions from Unitil to install new distribution poles on Rollstone Road.
John Kimball, representing Unitil, described the utility’s reliability program and the proposed locations for poles designated 30‑A (near 454 Rollstone Rd.) and 34‑A (near 543 Rollstone Rd.). No one spoke in favor or in opposition during either hearing. After brief staff presentation and the close of hearings, the council granted both petitions by unanimous consent.
Both petitions were recorded as granted with the council noting there were no public objections. The approvals allow Unitil to proceed with the pole installations described in the petitions; engineering, permitting and any subsequent construction schedules were not discussed at the meeting.
Outcome: petitions 059‑26 and 060‑26 were granted by unanimous consent, 10‑0.
