At its May 26, 2026 meeting, the Furnas County Board of Commissioners approved the meeting agenda, minutes from May 12 and the listed claims and payroll totaling $278,052.23.
Commissioner Dennis Tegtman moved to approve the agenda and later moved to approve the minutes and claims; Vice Chairman Allan McCoy seconded each motion. Roll-call votes on these procedural items recorded McCoy and Tegtman as aye; Chairman Mike Sexton was absent. Motions carried.
The board received the Treasurer’s Revenue List and Road Expenditure Report, placed the Noxious Weed Superintendent’s monthly report on file, and accepted the Emergency Managers Monthly Report prepared by Roger Powell. Commissioner Tegtman reported on a Region 3 meeting he attended on May 22, 2026. No members of the public were present for public comment, and the Board of Equalization had no items to consider.
The board also approved signing the 2026 ballot for election to the Nebraska Regional Interoperability Network Board of Directors on a motion by Tegtman, seconded by McCoy. The board adjourned at 10:20 a.m.; its next regular meeting is scheduled for June 9, 2026.
