Dayton Maul of Oak Creek Engineering opened bids for projects identified as Structure C003321240, Structure C003300610 and Road 726. The board recorded the following line-item bids: for Structure C003321240 — Husker Engineering $50,625; Leising Construction $41,530; Saul Ramos Construction $20,991.95. For Structure C003300610 — Husker Engineering $154,500; Leising Construction $93,678; Saul Ramos Construction $48,740.78. For Road 726 — Husker Engineering $47,475; Leising Construction $39,575; Saul Ramos Construction $16,997.10.
Maul recommended tabling the decision. Vice Chairman Allan McCoy moved to table the award until the June 9, 2026 meeting; Commissioner Dennis Tegtman seconded. The roll-call vote recorded McCoy and Tegtman as aye; Chairman Mike Sexton was absent. The motion to table carried.
Tabling the award gives the county additional time to review bids and supporting documents before the board makes a contract decision. The board will revisit the matter at its regular meeting on June 9, 2026.
