Select Board approves Anchor & Vines license transfers for downtown Mashpee

The Mashpee Select Board voted June 1 to approve two liquor‑license transfers that will let Anchor and Vines Winebar LLC and Anchor and Vines Wine, Beer & Gifts LLC take over existing licenses at downtown Mashpee locations.
Attorney Rob Mills told the board the purchaser is the LLC and that the business will operate largely unchanged. He said the only requested change is an earlier opening hour for the restaurant: the applicants requested 11 a.m. instead of the current 2 p.m. "Other than that, same menu, same hours except for that," Mills said.
Applicants Andrew Manary and Carolyn Manary attended the hearing. Carolyn described her restaurant experience and said she looks forward to operating the establishment; Andrew said he will be the manager.
No members of the public opposed the transfers during the hearings. The board closed both public hearings and voted to approve the on‑premise wine and malt license transfer and the off‑premise package‑store transfer, each by unanimous recorded voice vote.
The approvals were taken under Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 138, Section 15A, which governs local licensing authority actions and license transfers. The board noted the applicants may return later to request an entertainment license, which was not part of these transfers.
