Votes at a glance: Georgetown council approves inspection MOU, fire/EMS contract and employee agreements; moves to executive session
Summary

At its regular meeting the Georgetown Village Council approved a series of routine resolutions and then voted to move into executive session to discuss compensation terms for a public employee.
Resolutions approved by unanimous roll-call votes (one member excused) included:
- Resolution 1427: A memorandum of understanding with the Brown County Board of Commissioners to provide commercial inspection services; administration said the program replaces prior arrangements and will be funded through building-permit fees.
- Resolution 1428: An agreement with the Eastern Joint Fire and EMS District for fire and emergency medical services; the chief said compensation increased slightly this year because additional territory was added under the contract.
- Resolution 1429: An amended agreement to continue Gregory (Greg) as the village fiscal officer with a 3% pay adjustment; council approved the agreement as amended.
- Resolution 1430: A contract for another contractual employee with a 3% increase; council approved the motion.
After those votes, Councilmember Bakke moved and Councilmember Campbell seconded that the council enter executive session under Ohio Revised Code 121.22(G)(1) to consider compensation terms and conditions of a public employee; the motion passed by roll call. The council said it would move to an adjoining room for an executive session expected to last about 30 minutes.
No other formal actions were reported during the public session; the public portion of the meeting concluded with the council's announcement to move next door for the executive session.
