Weber County elections office: primary ballots mailed, sign up for TrackMyBallot.utah.gov

County commissioners were briefed May 26 that primary election ballots for the upcoming primary have been mailed and that voters can sign up for TrackMyBallot.utah.gov to receive real-time notifications when ballots are mailed, received and counted.

During commissioner comments, a member of the board praised county elections staff and expressed confidence in the integrity of the county's elections operations. Elections staff (identified in the meeting as Ricky) explained the voter options under Utah law: mail, secure dropbox, or in-person voting. He said the county will operate at least two voting locations for the primary, including a voter center at the Weber Center open the four days before election day (noon'6 p.m.) and an additional location at the Valley Library on election day to serve valley-area voters.

"It's not too late to sign up to receive real time updates of the status of your ballot," the staffer said, encouraging residents to register at TrackMyBallot.utah.gov so the county can notify them by text, email or phone when ballots are mailed, received and counted.

Commissioners noted their confidence in elections staff and encouraged voters to cast ballots early to avoid last-minute issues. The office did not announce any changes to ballot deadlines or the voting process; the presentation reiterated existing options and sites for in-person voting during the primary.
