The Cornelius Library Advisory Board voted unanimously on April 2 to accept the resignation of advisory-board member Amber Morris. The motion to accept Morris’s resignation was moved by Issac Gilman and seconded by Cilicia Philemon; the motion carried without dissent.
Board members present at the meeting included Cilicia Philemon, Shari Exo, Char Jones, Issac Gilman and Director Maria Aguilar; Amber Morris and Linda Osuna were listed as absent. The board also approved the February minutes (a motion by Cilicia Philemon, seconded by Char Jones) and noted there was no meeting in March because the board lacked a quorum.
Members said recruitment is needed to fill open seats. The board did not set a date for filling the vacancy during the meeting; the next regular meeting is scheduled for May 7, 2026.
