The Richland City Plan Commission on June 2 unanimously voted to continue the public hearing for zoning file 2607, relating to automotive appearance, to June 16, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. The motion was made by the Chair and seconded by Commissioner Beach.
The hearing was opened because the agenda had been posted, but the Chair noted there were no members of the public in attendance and staff did not present the item this evening. "We will not have a staff presentation tonight," the Chair said, and added that because the applicant requested more time the commission would hold the matter for the next meeting.
The continuance preserves the public hearing record while giving the applicant and staff more time to prepare materials for city council review. The commission voted unanimously to continue the item, with all seven regular members participating.
The hearing will remain open until the June 16 meeting at 6:00 p.m., when the commission is scheduled to revisit the item and any further public comments or staff presentations will be accepted.
