The Town of Union Board on Jan. 15 approved several routine but formal items, including submission of the 2025 tax levy information to Broome County, the appointment of Town Clerk Leonard J. Perfetti as a marriage officer pursuant to Domestic Relations Law §11, the referral of a vehicle-incident matter to legal and insurance authorities, and the placing of departmental reports on file.
The finance resolution approving the 2025 tax levy information listed line items as follows: Curb & Gutter $464.17; Code/Property Maintenance $7,180.97; Village of Johnson City $1,237.12; Water & Sewer Town of Union $106,780.35, totaling $115,662.61. The resolution was moved by Councilman Thomas R. Augostini and seconded by Councilman Joseph P. Nirchi, Sr.; the board voted unanimously to adopt it.
A resolution appointing Leonard J. Perfetti as a marriage officer under Domestic Relations Law §11 was moved by Joseph P. Nirchi, Sr., seconded by David Kudgus and adopted unanimously. The board also moved and carried motions to receive and file communications and reports and adjourned at 7:12 p.m.
