The resolution, moved by Councilman Joseph P. Nirchi, Sr. and seconded by Councilman Thomas R. Augostini, follows a report prepared by Brian Lucas, Code Enforcement Officer, which the board received and reviewed before voting. Under the action the board directed that notice be served on the property owner pursuant to Town Code §88-6 and scheduled a hearing for Feb. 19, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. for the owner to appear and address required remediation.
The resolution was adopted by unanimous vote. The board’s written resolution and the Code Enforcement report were filed as part of the meeting minutes. The action orders repair and abatement but does not itself specify a timeline for completion beyond the Feb. 19 hearing; further enforcement steps will depend on the outcome of that hearing and any subsequent board action.
The board made the motion during its regular meeting held at the Town Board Room in Endwell. The next step is the Feb. 19 public appearance before the Town Board, at which the owner may present a plan or contest the determination.
