North Lebanon supervisors approve fire company policies, bridge engineering application and routine renewals

At its Jan. 19 meeting the North Lebanon Township Board of Supervisors unanimously approved fire company Chain of Command and fire box alarm procedures, authorized a $12,041 County Liquid Fuels application for two bridge engineering fees, and approved six mobile home park license renewals and a plan-review extension.
North Lebanon Township supervisors on Jan. 19 unanimously approved a set of routine administrative and public-safety items, including policies submitted by local fire companies, a county grant application for bridge engineering fees and several permit renewals.
Manager Lori Books told the board that all four local fire companies signed a Chain of Command Policy and a set of fire box alarm procedures and asked the board to approve both documents. Chairman Gary Heisey moved to approve the Chain of Command Policy; Supervisor Arden Snook seconded the motion and the board approved it unanimously. Supervisor Heisey then moved to approve the fire box alarm procedures; Supervisor Ed Brensinger seconded and the board voted unanimously to adopt them.
Books also presented an Application for County Aid from the County Liquid Fuels Tax Fund prepared by Accounting Clerk Bonnie Grumbine. The township requested $12,041 to cover engineering fees for repairs to the Emma Road and Long Lane bridges. Supervisor Ed Brensinger moved and Supervisor Snook seconded approval of the application; the motion passed unanimously.
On licensing matters, Books said the township had received six of the seven 2026 mobile home park license renewal applications to date and asked the board to approve those paid renewals. Supervisor Brensinger moved and Supervisor Snook seconded the motion; it passed unanimously. The board also accepted a plan-review time extension from Nolt Engineering on behalf of Peter Klassen for a stormwater-only land development plan at 799 Kimmerlings Road, extending review time to May 4, 2026. Chairman Heisey moved to accept the extension, Snook seconded and the board approved the extension.
Routine organizational and financial motions were handled early in the meeting: supervisors approved the Jan. 5 organizational meeting minutes and approved payroll, fund balances and the payment of invoices by unanimous votes.
The board recorded no dissent on any item and took no additional directives beyond the approvals; Solicitor Amy B. Leonard reported she had nothing for the board that evening. The meeting adjourned at 7:34 p.m.
